In 2027, we will celebrate the birthday of the famous poet and playwright Heinrich von Kleist. Experience 250 years of literary brilliance in Frankfurt (Oder), Brandenburg, Berlin, and throughout Germany.
Marie Theresa Crick and Viviane Jasmin Meierdreeß discuss letters as a medium that lies between presence and silence, as well as the limits of representation.
Film meets sound: Sonya Schönberger (Berlin) and Yara Mekawei (Cairo/Berlin) discuss their artistic contributions to the Kleist Anniversary celebrations.
To mark the anniversary year of 2027, celebrating the 250th anniversary of Kleist’s birth, the Kleist-Museum Foundation is opening its new permanent exhibition on the life, work and influence of Heinrich von Kleist.
